Behind the Song: Jerry Buckner Talks ‘Pac-Man Fever and More

Review Fix chats with keyboardist, singer and songwriter Jerry Buckner, who discusses how the band’s iconic hit, “Pac-Man Fever” has been reimagined for today’s audience with “Pac-Man Fever (Eat ’Em Up) 2015, as well as how the original track affected his life.

Selling over 2.5 million copies when it was released in 1983, the song is one of the most successful one-hit wonders of all-time and has even featured in the “Rock Band” video game series. Bruckner and Garcia even appeared on American Bandstand and Solid Gold in the ‘80s and performed the track. Essentially creating the video game music genre, the band created an entirely different niche in the industry that is till around today.
