NXT Coverage: A Big Tease

With the announcement of an Adrian Neville/Finn Balor encounter next week, a two-out-of-three-falls match between Samoa Joe and Sami Zayn in two weeks and the reveal of a new NXT Superstar signing next week, this week’s episode was all about the future. Away from a decent opening match between Blake and Murphy and American Alpha, the rest of the show was just filler, a mediocre attempt to build the mid-card and get some people some ring time.

Matches:

American Alpha: Jason Jordan and Chad Gable vs. Blake and Murphy w/ Alexa Bliss: Gable dominated for most of the match, but a vicious Murphy Clothesline allowed the former NXT Tag Team Champions to make a comeback. However, as per usual with American Alpha, Jordan got the hot tag and went on a war path, allowing him and Gable to hit the Double-Team Belly-to-Back Bridging Pin Suplex for the win.
