WWE Smackdown Coverage: Balance

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H made it clear that he will finish off Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, but the tag team division certainly stole the show this past week on Thursday Night Smackdown. While fans are convinced that Goldust and R-Truth can form a team as the Golden Truth, Chris Jericho and AJ Styles continue to strengthen their bond as partners as well. Add a little diva drama between team BAD, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch and there was plenty of balance on the company’s B-show.

Matches:

Chris Jericho, AJ Styles and Mark Henry vs. WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day: Kofi Kingston, Big E Langston and Xavier Woods: Styles and Jericho brought the fight to their opponents with chops and kicks as the “Phenomenal One” delivered his Calf Killer submission finisher to Xavier Woods for the win.

Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens vs The Big Show: Owens was in serious trouble but he took the advantage when he dropped the largest athlete in the world off the  top rope for the win by a count out.

Dolph Ziggler, Neville and Lucha Dragons: WWE United States Champion Kalisto and Sin Cara vs. The League of Nations: Sheamus, Wade Barrett, Rusev and Alberto Del Rio: Chaos ensued when Sin Cara and Kalisto delivered high flying moves but Sheamus took down Neville with a Brogue Kick and won.

Becky Lynch vs. Natalya Neidhart: The match ended quickly by a disqualification after Naomi and Tamina Snuka attacked Natalya.

Jimmy Uso w/Jey Uso vs. Devon Dudley w/Bubba Ray Dudley: Jimmy delivered a few kicks before he made the attempt to fly high from top rope and thanks to Bubba Ray’s distraction, Devon cheated for a victory via the Rollup.

R-Truth w/Goldust vs. Heath Slater w/Social Outcasts: Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel and Adam Rose: After R-Truth hit Slater, Goldust delivered a slap to the Thriller and Truth used the Backslide pin for the win.
