NXT Coverage: Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad

With only three matches, it would be easy to write off this week’s episode of NXT, but between the war of Bayley and Alexa Bliss and an epic two-out-of-three falls match for the NXT Tag Team Championship, this was an episode you shouldn’t have missed.

Matches:

Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss: This was a war as Bliss continues to progress beautifully as an under-sized but ferocious heel. Bailey, however got aggressive too and won with the Belly-to-Bayley Suplex. After the match, Nia Jax hit the ring for a staredown. These two appear ready for another crazy match.

Blake and Murphy vs. The Hype Bros.: Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley: Blake and Murphy couldn’t get along and Rhyno interrupted the match and destroyed everyone except Murphy, who was smart enough to run out of the ring.

Two Out of Three Falls Match: NXT Tag Team Champions Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder vs. American Alpha: Jason Jordan and Chad Gable: This match was paced wonderfully as Dash and Dawson cut the ring off and forced Jordan to watch Gable get wrecked. Once Jordan got into the ring, the place exploded and Jordan was on fire. After a slew of Spears and Duplexes and some help from Gable, Jordan got the first fall via Ankle Lock submission on Dawson. Dawson fought back with an awesome Spike DDT and then capitalized, getting the win with the Reverse Heel Lock on Jordan, who’s leg was injured earlier in the match. After a wild exchange of near-falls and pinning combinations, both teams countered each other’s finishing maneuvers and Jordan locked in the Ankle Lock but Dawson escaped and locked in the Heel Lock before Gable hit the Head Butt to break it up. After Gable went for a German Suplex on the apron, Dawson and Wilder nailed him with the Shatter Machine on the apron for the win.
