ROH TV Coverage: Elgin Destroys Page in Tag Primer for All-Star Extravangza

This week’s ROH was a decent one, but if anything it was all primer for All-Star Extravangza. Just a few days away, the entire card was teased, with little else in terms of storyline being developed. Regardless, with solid promo and good in-ring world, it was a solid hour of wrestling.

Silas Young vs. GHC Heavyweight Tag Team Champion Toru Yano: Lots of strikes and near-falls, as Yano pulled off the ring post pad and added an extra element of danger to the already tough encounter. It came back to hurt him as Young threw Yano face-first on the exposed turnbuckle and followed it up with a Rollup for the win. After the match, the Briscoes made the save to ensure Yano’s safety.

Punishment Martinez w/BJ Whitmer and Kevin Sullivan vs. Cheeseburger: A squash as Martinez decimated Cheeseburger with strikes and got the win with the Sit-Out Chokeslam. After the match, Whitmer and Martinez beat on Cheeseburger and Will Ferrera, who tried to make the save.

ROH Champion Adam Cole and Hangman Page vs. Michael Elgin and Hiroshi Tanahashi: This match was all about Elgin, who decimated Page and got the win with the Sit-Out Powerbomb.
