NXT Coverage: Roode Gets Glorious Win, Ohno Returns

Three excellent matches, a vignette for Patrick Clark and the return of Kassius Ohno paved the way to one of the best episodes of NXT in 2017.

Matches:

#1 Contender’s Match NXT Women’s Championship: Ember Moon vs. Liv Morgan vs. Peyton Royce w/Billie Kay: A fun match with a nice blend of offense, counters and spots. Royce got the win with the Bridging Fisherman Suplex on Morgan, but it was because Kay got involved and forced Moon to take her out.

Pete Dunne vs. Marc Andrews: This was one of the best matches on NXT this year as these two traded counters and false finished in a high-paced match with plenty of striking as well. Dunno got the win after he put the knees up on the Shooting Star Press and nailed The Bitter End Pump-Handle F5 variation for the win.

Bobby Roode vs. No Way Jose: Roode won with the Glorious DDT, but Jose pushed him to the limit. After the match Roode decided to beat on Jose some more, latching on the Single Leg Crab, but the return of Kassius Ohno put an end to that before the two traded strikes to end the show
