NXT Coverage: Mid-Card Heavy

Three squash matches and a zany Battle Royal capped off this week’s episode of NXT that proves again the brand needs a secondary title. With no Champions on the card this week, what was the real reason to watch?

Matches:

Killian Dain w/Eric Young vs. Danny Birch: Davin decimated the tough Brit with the Ulster Plantation for the win.

Heavy Machinery: Otis Dozovic and Tucker Knight: vs. Ricardo Watts and Hector Kunsman: Can you say squash? Knight and Dozovic did it in near record time too.

Hideo Itami vs. Kona Reeves: Itami put on a clinic and won with the GTS.

Battle Royal for #1 Contendership for NXT Women’s Title: With Nikki Cross, Ruby Riot and Ember Moon left, Asuka hit the ring and beat the crap out of all three to make it a no contest. NXT GM William Regal then hit the ring and made a Fatal Four Way match at NXT Takeover Chicago.
