GFW Impact Coverage: Petey and Impact Make One

A crowded Title scene and a few wacky storylines made for an enjoyable episode of Impact this week, but the show is still lacking cohesion. It still feels like an Indie Super Show and not a full-fledged and organized promotion. But it’s getting there.

Knockouts Championship Tournament: Laurel Van Ness vs. Madison Rayne and KC Spinelli: Lots of action and Spinelli nearly won, but an Unprettier from Van Ness got her the win.

Taiji Ishimori vs. Hakim Zane: Ishimori won with the 450. After the match, X-Division Champion Trevor Lee and Caleb Konely beat on Ishimori.

Sami Callahan vs. Randy Myers: A hardcore brawl that Callahan won with a wicked Lariat.

James Storm vs. Texano: The Former AAA Champion spit beer in Storm’s face, but The Cowboy got the last laugh with the Last Call. After the match, American Top Team beat on Storm until Moose made the save.

Matt Sydal vs. Tyson Dux: Sydal won the balanced encounter with the Double Knees in the corner and the Shooting Star Press.

Johnny Impact vs. Alberto El Patron: Inspire of interference from Chris Adonis and Eli Drake, Impact got the win with the Starship Pain. After the match, Drake and Adonis beat on Impact, but Petey Williams made the save and ht the Canadian Destroyer on Adonis.
