Review Fix Exclusive: Inside ‘Professional Farmer – American Dream’

Review Fix chats with Professional Farmer – Tamara Berger, head of PR & Marketing for American Dream, who discusses the inspiration for the game, it’s development process and more.

Review Fix: How was this game born?

Tamara Berger: As you might know we are publishing Farming Simulator Games since many years very successfully. Of course, we are always looking for new features, settings and ideas. Well, someone of our team came up with the idea of the pumpkin business and this idea was followed by the American setting as those two topics perfectly fit to each other.

Review Fix: What did you learn most from the original game?

Berger: Professional Farmer – American Dream is a sequel to Professional Farmer 2017, so we had the chance to get the feedback of the community, delete some bugs and implement some new machines and ideas into the game. Also we added the USA as a playable Country.

Review Fix: What was development like?

Berger: As we are based in Europe it was very interesting for us to deal with the American landscapes, mountains and to collect all information about farming in the USA.

Review Fix: What makes this game special?

Berger: The amazing setting combined with the possibility of pumpkin farming.

Review Fix: How does this game disrupt the video game landscape?

Berger: Well you know that simulation games are definitely based in a niche of the video games market. But this niche of gamers is happy to play and our games are used to be sold very successful. Our goal for new products is to provide the community with new features, settings and gameplay updates.

Review Fix: Who will enjoy this game the most?

Berger: Definitely all fans of driving and farming simulations. Our game is very family friendly! Also young children are able to control the tractor.

Review Fix: What are your goals for the game?

Berger: A satisfied community who loves to farm in the midwest of America enjoying the new features and the new setting.

Review Fix: What’s next?

Berger: We are proud to be able to take over the retail distribution for an amazing, unique simulation game from the young Austrian Publisher Toplitz productions. Farmer’s dynasty combines life simulation with farming simulation. A totally new mix in this genre which will inspire a lot of people! Check it out: https://www.facebook.com/toplitz/
