NXT Coverage: Building For Brooklyn

Plenty of storyline building before NXT Takeover Brooklyn made sure this week’s episode of the WWE developmental brand had plenty of balance.

Lacey Evans vs. Dakota Kai: This was a fantastic match that put Evans over as a ruthless heel and made Kai even more loveable as the underdog. Awesome storytelling as Evans got the win with the Women’s Right out of nowhere.

Kassius Ohno vs. Rick Ramirez: Ohno got the quick win with the Discus Elbow.

Winner Gets Shot at NXT Women’s Title: Candice LaRae vs. Kairi Sane vs. Nikki Cross: This was an amazing match as Cross’ ferocity, LaRae’s athletic ability and Sane’s ability to tell a story all played a part. After it appeared LaRae had the win with the Lionsault, Sane hit the Insane Elbow out of nowhere in a wonderful finish.
