NXT Coverage: Dream Ready to Take on Johnny Wrestling

Although mostly squash matches, this week’s NXT marked the return of Lars Sullivan and another Keith Lee exhibition, so it’s pretty hard to complain about that. Add in the Velveteen Dream’s confrontation with Johnny Gargano and NXT continues to provide plenty of quality wrestling action.

Dakota Kai vs. Aliyah: Kai won with the Flipping Backbreaker, but Aliyah was in it throughout and fought hard. This was a predicted win for Kai, but a good performance for Aliyah as well.

Unofficial: Lars Sullivan vs. Raul Mendoza: After he destroyed EC3 backstage, Sullivan hit the ring and took out Mendoza with the Freak Accident.

Keith Lee vs. Luke Menzies: Total squash. Pounce and Spirit Bomb and it was over.

Adam Cole and NXT Tag Team Champion Roderick Strong w/Kyle O’Reilly vs. WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne and WWE North American Champion Ricochet: Teamwork allowed Cole and Strong to use Ricochet’s speed against him and take it out on Dunne. After Cole won with the Last Shot, they attempted to continue the beating, but Hanson and Rowe hit the ring to send TUE scurrying away.
