Review Fix Exclusive: Emin Eminzada Talks ’Treasure Me’ And More

Review Fix chats with singer/songwriter Emin Eminzada who discusses the influences, creative process and goals for his new single, ”Treasure Me.”

Review Fix: How did you get involved in music?

Emin Eminzada: I always had my biggest interests in art, film, and the music industry. However, singing was one of the most important aspects for me.   I asked my parents to bring me and show me to some vocal coaches. During that time, I sang classical music. I sang a piece of from an Italian opera and they loved it.

Review Fix: What’s your creative process like?

Eminzada: Creative process is all about having different kinds of emotions. If I don’t feel it and if it’s not happening, I cannot do it. I can’t create without imagining. I’m more creative if the situation has a strong impact on me. Also being depressed, feeling deceived and unwanted, feeling sexy and wacky help.

Review Fix: What inspires you?

Eminzada: Beautiful people, sentimental feelings, my lifestyle. When I see beautiful and attractive people, I get some sort of motivation. I have no idea why exactly. Talking about their face structures through the lyrics is one of my creative sides. Sentimental feelings are very important for many artists. In my case, I can show with metaphors, sometimes more tactile side of these feelings or sometimes more wild side of these feelings. And surely, my lifestyle. I can say shortly that my life is like a reality tv show.

Review Fix: What makes “Treasure Me” a special track?

Eminzada: This song is all about passion. Egoistic character mixed with wild feelings. This song is relatable for those has a little bit of wild side.

Review Fix: How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard you?

Eminzada: If we are going to an example of some artists, then I would say a mix of Andrea Bocelli and Lady Gaga. The fact that I started with classical music gives me a better opportunity to sound literally flexible. Surely, sometimes a little bit of Britney Spears and Freddie Mercury influences are never extra.

Review Fix: How are your live shows different from your studio work?

Eminzada: I adore singing live shows. I love that better than studio work. Being in contact with the audience is my favorite thing. I look at their eyes sometimes, that’s the main motivation for me. It drives me crazy to continue, by last note of my song I’m going mad! Sometimes I wish that it could continue forever.

Review Fix: What are your goals for 2019?

Eminzada: This year I’m graduating from my university – Baku Music Academy, in my country Azerbaijan. Besides that working on new tracks. I will try to show my audiences different sides of myself.

Review Fix: What’s next?

Eminzada: As an I artist I must be flexible. I want to show unusual, different sounds in a mainstream song. I want to show different images and styles of myself. I don’t wanna tell you what’s next exactly, but you’ll see step by step.
