Plenty of fun moments and a solid main event ensured this week’s Dynamite was solid, but it was the small pieces, another fun vignette for The Dark Order, a great opening promo from The Inner Circle and more hilarity from MJF that have to make you feel great about the AEW brand as a whole.
Matches:
The Best Friends: Trent and Chuck Taylor w/Orange Cassidy vs. The Lucha Bros: Rey Fenix and Pentagon Jr.: For the second time this week, Trent scored a huge win with the Counter Crunch, this time on Fenix.
Bea Priestley and Emi Sakura vs. Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander: Lots of offense from Statlander, but a Belly-to-Back from Priestley and the Mahistrol from Sakura got them the win.
Cody Rhodes vs. Matt Knicks: The Jumping Cutter/Figure Four gave Rhodes the win. After the match, The Butcher and The Blade (Pepper Parks and Andy Williams), with Allie as the Bunny, took out Rhodes.
Pac vs. Kenny Omega: Best match of the night, with both competitors hitting series of maneuvers that would have put anyone else away. Omega ended up with the win after he countered a Rollup into one of his own.
Dynamite Ring Finals: MJF w/Wardlow vs. Adam “Hangman†Page: After interference from Wardlow, MJF hit the Crossroads for the win. After the match, DDP gave MJF the ring, but wasn’t happy about it and appeared ready to mix it up with both MJF and Wardlow.
AEW Tag Team Champion Scorpio Sky vs. AEW World Champion Chris Jericho: Sky was able to escape the Lion Tamer once and not let Jake Hager stand in his way, but Jericho kicked out of the TKO and then locked on the Lion Tamer again for the win. After the match, Jon Moxley showed up to end the show.
