Drifters Review: A Different Type of Manga

Drifters is a manga filled with war and gore and is also one well-versed with solid pacing. Above all else, it represents the bloody onslaughts of war and the fight to conquer.

Despite its brutal depictions of death and war, the historical context, mixed in with its blood action bits make for an enjoyable read. It might not be visually appealing to the eyes of others, but it will be within your cup of tea if you do enjoy reading stories with violence. It helps build-up tension and sooner or later, you will be able to binge read the entire series before you know it. Each battle is well versed in its own way and that it brings you to the edge of your seat as you decide to read more and more of each volume.

Because of this, Drifters is quite the change to how you read manga, but it mostly shows how you are able to adapt to the different styles of art that each manga portrays, including Drifters on its own entirety. Each character within this series has their own unique style and personality that helps build their own background and their own characters, which you will really like to see. And then, there comes the fighting, which also brings forth an awareness of wanting and need more of these volumes to read. This is one of the mangas that you do not want to read on a crowded bus or a crowded train. This is also a manga that you do want children to read.

Despite its visual depictions of war and violence, this manga benefits from a solid plot and timing within its chapters. It leaves you hanging from the edge of your seat for more and more until you can’t stop reading the series altogether.

All in all, Drifters will be a great manga for you to read and binge at the same time. No one is really stopping you from reading this manga at all and you should read it with full force without anyone telling you why you need to read it at all. You should enjoy what you read and you will enjoy Drifters as a whole.
