AEW Dynamite Coverage: Fenix and Omega Tear It Up

An awful Snoop Dogg appearance aside, AEW was rock solid and got it done where it counted, the ring. Kenny Omega vs. Rey Fenix was the best match on TNT in 20 years.

The end of the show was a special one though as it appears the Bullet Club is back together, as Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson and The Young Bucks, have joined forces with Omega.

Matches:

AEW Tag Team Champions Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson and SCU:  Christopher Daniels, and Frankie Kazarian vs. The Acclaim: Max Caster, Anthony Bowens and H2: Angelico, and Jack Evans: Daniels landed the Moonsault into the Spike Piledriver for the win for the faces. After the match, SCU verbally challenged The Bucks for the title.

Wardlow vs. Jake Hager: This was a big man war. Wardlow wn with the F-1o cleanly. Shocking, right?

Cody Rhodes w/Snoop Dogg vs. Matt Sydal: Cody won a fun, but quick one with the Cross Roads. After the bell, Serpentico and Luther attacked, but Sydal and Cody cleared house before Snoop hit a AWFUL top rope Splash on Serpentico.

Abadon vs. AEW Women’s Champion Hikari Shida: This was shorter than expected. Abadon hit some offense and even got her under the ring, but Shida ended up with the hard fought win with the Running Knee.

Rey Fenix vs. AEW World Champion Kenny Omega w/Don Callis: Fenix turned in the type of performance that can only be defined as amazing. Omega hit Fenix with everything and he came back with plenty of his own offense. Fenix managed to counter the One-Winged Angel into a Poisonrana but Omega hit three V-Triggers to stay in it. Fenix fought back with a Cutter variation and the Fire-Thunder, but again Omega kicked out. Omega then hit a beautiful Tiger Driver 98, then another V-Trigger and won with the One-Winged Angel. After the match, Omega went to hit Fenix with another OWA, but Moxley hit the ring and attempted to take out Omega with a Barbed Wire Bat. Although he got one shot in, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson made the save and nailed Moxley with The Magic Killer. Omega then beat on Moxley and the AEW roster tried to help, but the trio of Omega, Gallows and Anderson destroyed everyone.

Eventually, The Young Bucks hit the ring and took the bat from Omega, but they also took out a few people attacking Omega. By the end of the show, all five were holding up the Bullet Club hand.
