NXT Coverage: New Cruiserweight Champion, Breaker Ready?

A beefy card with matches mixed in quality hurt the show, but behind the crowning of new Cruiserweight Champion and a solid main event made this week’s NXT watchable.

NXT Cruiserweight Champion Kushida vs. Roderick Strong w/Malcom Bivens and Ivy Nile: Bivens was pivotal, putting Strong’s foot on the ropes, while Nile took out Kushida on the outside before Strong won the Title with The End of Heartache.

Kay Lee Ray vs. Amari Miller: Ray won with the KLR in about 90 seconds.

Dante Chen vs. Trey Baxter: Chen got in a sloppy win with a modified Cradle Driver.

Cameron Grimes vs. Joe Gacy: Grimes made quick work of the indie star with The Cave-In.

Electra Lopez with Legado Del Fantasma vs. Anna Scheer: Lopez won with the Modified Powerbomb and fought with B-Fab after the match.

Odyssey Jones vs. Cary Millman and Darren Ciapetta: Jones got the squash win and broke a chair with his hand after the match.

NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa and Bron Breakker vs. Pete Dunne and Ridge Holland: Kyle O’Reilly got involved and that allowed Breakker to hit the Goldberg Press Slam/Powerslam for the win.
